Leaf Wetness Sensor

An add-on that integrates with any of Seymour's stations — detects wetness on the leaf surface (water, ice and fog) and transmits the data to both the climate controller and the cloud. Ideal for greenhouses with a misting system and for disease prevention.

Seymour Leaf Wetness Sensor with a 5-meter cable

Know when the leaf is wet — and act in time

The leaf wetness sensor measures the percentage of leaf-surface area covered by water, mimicking the thermal behavior of a real leaf through a dedicated shape and thickness. It detects water, ice and fog — and is built to withstand field conditions over time (epoxy-resin sealed, IP68 rating).

The sensor integrates with any of Seymour's stations and transmits the data simultaneously to the climate controller — for smart control of the misting system — and to the cloud, for monitoring and record-keeping.

The sensor is also available as a standalone unit — in a 4–20mA and RS485 version, with a 5-meter cable.

Why add a leaf wetness sensor

An add-on for any station

Integrates with any of Seymour's stations — with no need for a separate unit or additional infrastructure.

Smart misting control

Transmits directly to the climate controller for automatic start/stop of the misting system — and to the cloud in parallel.

Disease prevention

Prolonged leaf wetness raises the risk of fungal disease; continuous monitoring enables timely preventive action.
